At Home:
- Take all physician-approved medications on the day of surgery with a small sip of water.
- Leave all personal items at home (including jewelry, wedding rings, purses, etc.)
- Do not wear make-up or contact lenses. Contacts will have to be removed prior to surgery.
- Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and shoes.
- Bring someone with you who can drive you home and stay with you the remainder of the day.
When you arrive - one of our registration staff will review your paperwork with you and notify the surgical staff of your arrival.

- Co-pays are due at the time of your procedure and can be paid by cash, check, credit or debit card.
Once you have been admitted:
- A nurse will escort you to our pre-operative area. For most surgeries, you will be asked to change into a gown and socks provided by the Surgical Center. All of your items will be placed in a secured locker until you are ready to go home.
- While waiting comfortably in a recliner or bed for your procedure to begin, you will be given a pre-operative evaluation, including taking your pulse, temperature, and blood pressure.
- If your surgery requires anesthesia, you will meet with an anesthesiologist.
- Your family may be able to join you in the pre-operative area.
- Once your procedure is completed, you will be taken to the recovery area. Once you are alert and awake, you will be given a snack, and your family will be able to join you.
